What has BAD done?
Since our departure on May 22, 2009, the three members of Being And Doing, Inc. have performed a total of 1,090 hours of service! (363.3 hours apiece, in addition to the countless number of hours devoted to driving, writing articles, maintaining the website, and promoting our organization)
Our promotional power is growing on a daily basis. Since publishing our website, we have had 9,178 views. The more people we attract to our site, the more we are able to spread the word about the important work being done by the nonprofit sector.
Our 1985 VW Vanagon has taken us approximately 3,589 miles in 61.5 hours worth of travel time!
Where does the money go?
We have raised $3,398.00 from our generous supporters thus far (Thank you, thank you, thank you!)
We have spent $3,005.61
This leaves us at $392.39 for further work

We have also spent a great deal of personal finances to get our project started (mostly on food!).
What does all of this mean in “real product”?
According to the Independent Sector, one hour of volunteer labor amounts to $20.25 worth of time/product.
Being And Doing, Inc., with our 1,090 hours of service, has provided $22,072.20 worth of time/product to the nonprofit sector in varying jobs and projects (not counting the amount of time and energy dedicated to developing our own nonprofit organization).
So… we have spent $3,005.61 in donations and turned it into $22,072.50 worth of direct service. Through dedication and will-power…
WE HAVE TURNED EVERY SPENT DOLLAR INTO $7.34!
Now that we know that our project is sustainable and welcomed, we will actively be seeking our tax-exempt 501(c)3 status from the IRS so that we can find other forms of funding.
